REPENT

To turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life

God has a better plan for our life. The Bible starts with acknowledging that God is who He says He is. Revival starts with repentance and knowing that we are sinners and we fall short of the glory of God. We thank God for Jesus, who by His stripes we are healed.

REVIVE

To become strong, healthy, or active again.

Revival is what Holy Spirit does within us after repentance. Marriages can be revived. Financial situations can be revived. Relationships can be made strong again. God doesn’t leave dead things dead if there is a will to be revived. Trust Him in that process.

THRIVE

To grow or develop successfully : to flourish or succeed

Thriving is not prosperity gospel. This is not “do this and be a millionaire.” This IS living life to the fullest, the way God intended. It can include finances, but goes so far beyond. He wants us to thrive in community, in hope, in truth, and in justice.

Why “Revival”

Revival-To bring what was dead back to life.

Revival began in Spring of 2021 with a small group of believers gathered together for the same purpose, to repent, revive and thrive. A church on the move, a vagabond church, Revival came together each week in various locations, parks, event centers and small theaters. While waiting for God to provide a permanent location, text 94000 to keep up to date on upcoming service locations!

Revival bases their vision and purpose on the following verses.

Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness.
Isaiah 1:27

Zion is the city where God and humanity will dwell together. In sin humanity is separated from the Holy God. In Christ alone can sinners be washed, transformed, redeemed with justice and stand righteous in God’s sight. It starts with repentance, so those who trust in Jesus can be revived and begin to thrive in their new lives in Christ.

The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”
Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.
Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.
Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”
So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’
Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel. When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord. I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’”

Ezekiel 37:1-14

These two passages are the basis of why Revival came together. Revival believes that God’s word is living and active, sharper than a two-edged blade. The Word is God breathed and profitable for teaching, equipping, rebuking and training in righteousness. The truth of the Old Testament and the New Testament and who Jesus is and what He came to accomplish on the cross and in the empty tomb brings humanity to a place of repentance and revival (new life). As the Holy Spirit enters our lives, He brings people through the process of sanctification into a place of thriving. See more about what our Beliefs are.
